Everything is great and all. But you should be able to do deposits and withdrawals a lot faster than waiting about 5 days to get a deposit in. They should have the ability to use cash app instead of just credit, debit and wire transfers. Other than all that customer service is really decent. And one more thing they should be able to make it easier to get level 3 options trading unlocked. I know there is a teer system in place to protect the safety of the investors and the platform both.
The app is very useful and the UI is simple. I find that all of the updates are very useful. The watchlist for option plays, cash card, crypto wallet. Robinhood is definitely a game changer. There are times where the system is down. Unfortunately, this happens while the market is open, and you can't sell your open positions. Still has not been resolved
Terrible GUI...signed up via phone like a lot of people and made a mistake on the last letter of my name. Tried going back to fix it; no option available. Figured that at some point the app would let me correct my typing mistake. Nope. Eventually tried "Delete My Account" so I could begin the setup process again with the knowledge that any mistake at that certain phase of setup was irrevocable, but even though I seem to meet all the criteria for deletion, it's not deleted. Disappointed!
The UI is glossy, the connected services are great, but the customer service is a challenge and a deal breaker. Eventually, when service is needed, you may feel like you hit a wall, and you'll feel just like a number in the system. This might be a good option for folks who are just getting started and need a simple UI experience, but if you are looking for someone to stand by you and help you, working with an actual advisor or a competitor like Fidelity, Charles Schwab, or SoFi may be better.
User friendly interface that changes every 6 months. Also they have not sorted out how to account for mergers, splits, spin offs or reverse splits. I have multiple securities the app does not display an accurate cost basis. After asking I was offers to have a spreadsheet sent to me with data rather than fixing their application and cost tracking.
This Robinhood app has a very messy liking platform and is confusing to use. I was trying to cover a deficit and it charges the same payment twice because I did not get any confirmation that it went through!! And you don't know what transactions you are completing with all the tabs, and options. It feels like it's on purpose and really needs to be revamped.
Mostly user friendly app, but it is frustrating to have to enter a security code every time I switch screens and then go back, even after only 2 seconds. Also, it takes a ridiculous amount of time for customer support to join a chat request (like multiple hours!). Finally, a complicated and meaningless chart was sent to me when I wanted to simply view my losses or profits after sales- couldn't figure out what the chart meant, and still don't know because customer service didn't respond to chat.
I've been using this app for years. I no longer feel 100% confident with customer service protecting my account information, I'm feeling very vulnerable. It takes FOREVER to get someone to respond and resolve anything. Transfer, transfer, then still around and around. Submitting personal, private information repeatedly during the same call. They need to fix this asap
Easy to use. Clutter-free. An excellent tool if you know what you want to do. **Update: Dropped to 3-star (from 5 in 2018). For every quality and aesthetic change to the app over the years, there has been a negative one. More and more clutter has been layered on and default functions, not chosen by the user, keep being forced on us. Robinhood changed my life, I am an advocate of and investor in the company, but the app is going downhill fast.
I wish the app allowed for slightly more personalization, especially the portfolio graph and having values displayed so the range is apparent. It's deceiving to have only $20 in volatility but it look like you had a huge loss/gain. Love the round up on the spending account, but I should be able to customize the roundup. I'd prefer ever purchase round to the nearest $5 instead of $1 so I'm actually buying a decent amount of stock with the roundup, but it can only round to the nearest $1.
The trading platform is good, decent, not overly complicated so no complaints there. The new card looks nice, and i want to use it, but deposits to the spending account could be faster. 1 week to transfer money in or even see the funds in seems rather slow compared to how it was in the past. And suggesting setting a direct deposit is not a great suggestion 😒
Terrible app. A key feature of sending funds is not working for me. After a couple hours chatting with tech support, they stated they would have to look further into it and will start an email chain to continue the support. It's been several days, no email, function still is not working rendering the app useless for me. I'm deleting this app asap. If zero stars for seating was an option, I would've chose that.
Annoyed by the app. I've been with them for over a year. Used to log on with my 4 digits, password and email. But now, can't even do that. Try to verify, with id, selfie and such to change cell numbers, but the camera is always malfunctioning. How the hell do they expect you to verify, if there stuff isnt working. I keep trying to log in to view what was invested in, only to not be able to access. It's very annoying. Very. Not happy with this app or the website. Both does the same thing.
Terrible, app doesn't work at all. You can't even search for a stock. It just spins and spins. Never loads home page properly. Contacted customer service 5 months ago and they told me to buy a new phone. This is a brand new pixel 8. I never heard back and last time I was told to wait on hold for 6 hours. Guess what 5 months later the app still doesn't work, but webbull does!
Pretty solid app. Invested a little to play around with penny stocks to start learning with and getting my toes wet so to speak. It's been a pretty straight forward experience so far. Also, if you set an alert and want to delete it later, simply pick the one you want to get rid of and swipe it left to make the button show up. Only gave four stars because there's always room to improve things.
Perfect for you to loose money. You can buy but not sell or cancel the purchase, ends up buying way over the current price, always say technical issues when things are heating up on the market. A pending order can't be canceled, and later on when it works its already sold and its lost money. You have no control at all over what you're trying to do. Money gets held in their hands till they find a good time to go forward with your order, which is making you lose money.
Has one of the most annoying and just baffling oversights I have ever seen. Once you set a custom alert for a token it can never be deleted and the direction "price moves up/down" cant be changed. It's just stuck there through the rest of time. Not even a warning message to let people know it's permanent. And the worst part is your only allowed to set 5 alerts so if they all get set as price up alerts then you can never set a down alert ever. Your just screwed until you deactivate the account.
Well 3 years later and now the app just doesn't work out of nowhere???Still very salty about the server issue but the rating must go up in light of the condition of the market and the performance of robinhood compared to the other apps I use, just kind of weird it's perfect when going down but haywire when going up!!!!! I have to see how this plays out in reverse!!!!!
This app was just fine. Has turned into nonsense. I have emailed them and talked to them multiple times this is the 4th time this has happened. They keep taking features away. I'm not able to organize my crypto investments or see the percent change of my stocks and ETFs on the home screen. It was a perfect app until they started to remove features I definitely recommend a different app and I own 700 shares of Robinhood stock their app is terrible!!!!!
Latest update prevents my phone's saved password system from inputting the username and password, I've always used this to login. It wouldn't be as bad if it still accepted thumbprint as my login method. With the app's immediate log out for looking at another app, I have to enter my username and password manually. Then it asks for my thumbprint only as a second authentication. If you make it this miserable to use, I'll just stop using it. I like Robinhood, but I hate your app now.
